Connect Iowa Joins FirstNet in Bringing a Needed Network to Public Safety

Connect Iowa is happy to announce we have joined forces with First Responder Network Authority, or FirstNet, to help spread their important cause! We will be sharing with you what FirstNet is up to, and how you can get involved. “Signed into law on February 22, 2012, the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act created the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet). The law gives FirstNet the mission to build, operate and maintain the first high-speed, nationwide wireless broadband network dedicated to public safety. Southeast Valley Community Enlists in Connect Iowa’s Connected Program

Southeast Valley Community held a kickoff meeting to join Connect Iowa’s Connected Community Engagement Program. The meeting was held in Gowrie, IA with participants representing the school district, providers, library, and economic development. These leaders seek to boost the local economy, increase educational opportunities and quality of life for residents through increased access, adoption, and use of broadband.
